UPDATE: Water main leak in Sydney’s CBD\r\n

Sydney Water crews have been called to reports of a water main leak on the corner of George and Bridge Streets in Sydney’s CBD.

\r\n

Network technicians have isolated the main which is impacting up to 119 customers. We are working as quickly and safely as possible to complete the complex repairs with water supply expected to be returned to normal by 2am.

\r\n

If these repairs take longer than anticipated, temporary supplies will be implemented overnight.

\r\n

A dedicated customer advocate is contacting impacted customers. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

UPDATE: Water main break at Freemans Reach

Sydney Water crews are currently onsite at Creeks Ridge Road, Freemans Reach where a break in the water main has been identified.

\r\n

Crews are conducting urgent repairs to the network. Currently, 1035 properties at Glossodia and Freemans Reach are impacted and may be experiencing lower than normal or no water pressure.

\r\n

Impacted residents are likely to have water from 12pm to 2pm today however, water supply may be interrupted from 2pm due to the complexities of repairs with full water supply expected to be returned by midnight. 

\r\n

A dedicated customer advocate is onsite and our crews are working around the clock to safely complete the repairs and restore normal water supply as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

Sydney Water crews are conducting repairs on a water main leak at Bringelly Rd, KINGSWOOD.

\r\n

This is impacting water supplies to up to 139 customers.

\r\n

Our crews are working to safely complete the repairs as quickly as possible. Due to the complexity of these repairs, this is expected to continue throughout the day.

\r\n

Customer advocates have been onsite and impacted customers are being notified.

\r\n

We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

Sydney Water crews have been called to reports of a burst water main at Burraneer Bay Road, Burraneer.

This is currently impacting water supplies to 152 properties.

The main has been isolated with network technicians working to repair the break and restore normal water supplies as soon as possible.

\r\n

This is currently impacting water supplies to 163 properties.

The main has been isolated with network technicians working to repair the break and restore normal water supplies as soon as possible.

\r\n

Sydney Water crews have been called to two water main breaks at Oak Road, Kirrawee and Princess Highway Sutherland.
\r\n

This is currently impacting water supplies to 83 properties.
\r\n

\r\n

The main has been isolated with network technicians working to repair the break and restore normal water supplies to our customers as soon as possible.

\r\n

A Sydney Water customer advocate is onsite liaising with impacted customers.

\r\n

Sydney Water crews remain on site at Lucas Road, Burwood where two separate pipe breaks have been identified.

\r\n

Both pipes have now been isolated, with temporary water supplies restored to all impacted customers.

\r\n

Crews will continue to work through the night to safely complete these complex repairs, with restoration activities expected to continue for a number of days at the break site.

\r\n

Sydney Water was called to reports of water on the road at Lucas Road, Burwood. 
\r\n
\r\nThere are two separate pipe breaks in the same location, one water and one wastewater. Both pipes have been isolated, with crews working to safely complete the complex repairs as soon as possible.
\r\n
\r\nInitial reports suggest the break has resulted in the road lifting near the break site.
\r\n
\r\nA dedicated customer advocate is on site and alternative water supplies are being arranged for customers who may be impacted.
\r\n
\r\nWe are expecting to have temporary water supplies restored to 42 properties by 2pm, provided the repairs are completed to plan.
\r\n

Sydney Water crews were called to the site of a burst water main at 130 Main Street, Blacktown this afternoon.

\r\n

The water main has now been isolated and normal water supplies have been restored to all impacted properties.

\r\n

Crews will continue working through the night to repair the main break. Restoration of the nearby road surface is expected to continue into tomorrow.

\r\n

An investigation into the cause of the break will be conducted.

\r\n

Sydney Water would like to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience.

Sydney Water crews have been called to reports of a burst water main at 130 Main Street, Blacktown.

\r\n

The water main has now been isolated and water supplies have been restored to surrounding suburbs.

\r\n

There are still 28 impacted properties including the Blacktown TAFE where there are reports the footpath has also been impacted.

\r\n

Sydney Water is in the process of implementing alternative solutions to restore supply.

\r\n

Sydney Water crews have been called to reports of a burst water main at 130 Main Street, Blacktown.

Sydney Water crews have now restored the system to normal supply following a water main break at Epping Road, Lane Cove.

\r\n

Water pressure has increased overnight to normal levels across all suburbs.

\r\n

We are encouraging any customers who may still be having supply issues to call 13 20 90.

\r\n

We deeply apologise to our customers and acknowledge the inconvenience and disruption caused.

\r\n

Sydney Water crews are continuing to restore the system to normal operation following a water main break at Epping Road, Lane Cove.

\r\n

Water pressures are continuing to increase across a number of suburbs as we progress through these operations.

\r\n

We will continue to methodically work through our plan tonight to restore the system to normal operation as soon as possible.

\r\n

Some customers may experience further interruptions to their water supply through the night including no or low water pressure.

\r\n

Sydney Water has organised access to shower facilities for impacted customers through Accor Hotels while we continue to work to restore our services to full capacity. 

\r\n

Water refill stations are also available for customers to fill containers with water at three locations in Lane Cove West and North Sydney. Water tankers have also been operating around the clock to supply safe drinking water to impacted customers.

Sydney Water crews are continuing to work around the clock to return normal water supply as soon as possible. We appreciate your continued patience and apologise for the significant inconvenience caused.

Due to the complexity and location of the break, there may be ongoing interruptions to water supply across a number of suburbs. Customers in Lane Cove and Longueville are expected to be impacted with low or no pressure throughout the day.

Showers are now available to impacted customers while we continue to work to restore services to full capacity.

\r\n
For residents who have no water service please call the Sydney Water Customer Hub on 13 20 90 to discuss options for showers.

Sydney Water crews are onsite at Mowbray Road, Lane Cove where a new break in the water main has been identified.

Up to 315 properties in the Lane Cove area will experience a loss of water until 7:30pm, 13 September 2022, while Sydney Water crews repair the water main.

\r\n

Sydney Water crews have now isolated and repaired the water main break at Epping Road, Lane Cove.

Due to the complexity and location of the break, crews will be working throughout the day to restore the system to normal operation.

\r\n

There may continue to be further interruptions to water supply across a number of suburbs.

\r\n

Customers in Lane Cove and Longueville are expected to be impacted with no or low water pressure throughout the morning.

\r\n

We will continue to adjust and respond as best we can until we can return the system to normal operations later today.

Sydney Water crews will continue working through the night as they respond to a burst water main at Epping Road, Lane Cove.

Some customers may notice lower water pressure than normal and possibly no water during peak times. In order to manage the issue, we would ask that you restrict your water usage by avoiding non-essential water use.

\r\n

Sydney Water has set up a number of filling stations where our customers can access drinking water and fill up their containers.

\r\n
